Bowhunting Public Land

Bowhunting public land is an amazing experience for stalking, driving, and just waiting on deer or whatever game you are after. It is something lots of bowhunters do in their career. And is very fun or interesting to say the least.
HOW TO SEE DEER SIGNS ON PUBLIC LAND
Deer sign may be pretty difficult to spot sometimes but other times it maybe very easy to find. It all depends on where you are hunting. Rubs, Scrapes, Beds , Sheds, and Droppings are very good signs while deer hunting. But you need to find the right spot first.
FINDING THE RIGHT SPOT
Finding the right spot may very well be the most important part of Public land hunting. So before you go hunting be sure to have some ideas on some spots to hunt. And if you don't have any info on where you will be hunting then you can just walk in and find some good sign and find a big tree to sit against, sit by some brush, sit along a field edge, or hang a Treestand or a hunting Blind.

GETTING A GOOD SHOT
Placing yourself by a game trail will make things so much easier, as long as it is used regularly. So find a regularly used game and make sure you see a spot where you would shoot if a deer came down that trail, an opening just wide enough so that you could stop the deer as he walked by and get a good shot. Or along a field edge and be ready to shoot at any part of the field.

It may take you quite a few trips going to the land you are hunting but don't get discouraged.
DRIVING DEER ON PUBLIC LAND
Driving deer is very fun and ca be very, very challenging with a bow. But it is definitely possible. You need stationed men and driving men to do a drive and also a good place to drive deer. The "drivers" need to push the deer to the "Standers" and they can get a good shot. This is much easier with a gun but still possible with a bow.
Bowhunting Public Land is a pretty good Idea right?
